I love a good bold lip but these days I’ve been leaning more towards nude with a hit of gloss. I’m not really sure what it is but I love how it streamlines my look. (I feel like my whole wardrobe lately has been about streamlining but that’s another story.)
Now, to my darker skinned ladies let me say this – you can wear any shade of ‘nude’ you want. Just pair it with a darker liner to make it blend better with your skin tone. My go to is Mac’s Chestnut lip liner. I’ve listed a range of products from drugstore to high end with a couple of nods to Glossier. I use a wide range of their products and suggest you check them out. In fact, you can get a 10% discount off or your first order with them by using the following link: http://bff.glossier.com/gGiPk
If you’d like to a see a full, more complete list of my skincare and beauty products let me know! Now, without further ado – let’s get nude.
I love this lip balm. It’s moisturizing without being too thick and the coconut scented version takes me back to drinking piña coladas on the beach in Mexico in seconds. Bonus, if my hands are looking a little dry I slather some of this on and rub it in. All around a great salve.
I’ll be honest, this barely puts any color on your lips but I love that about it. It’s also super moisturizing so I can throw this on – without looking in a mirror – and know that lips have a tiny hint of color and are super moisturized.
I wasn’t in the market for a gloss but when I went to Sephora and they dabbed this on my lips I was hooked. Guys, this gloss feels sooooo good on your lips and makes them look….luscious. (I’m sorry but no other word will do it justice.) Give this gloss a go – trust me.
For when I want a little more color to my nude look I reach for this lipstick. I actually got is a VIB Insider, or something like that which basically means that I just spend a lot of money at Sephora. I’m still rocking the sample size but will likely purchase a full size once I run out. It’s a perfect dusty rose and sometimes when I want to deepen the shade I’ll pair it with Mac’s Chestnut lip liner.
When NYX first came out with these lips creams I was obsessed and bought so many shades. These lip creams are matte but not at all drying. Reasonably priced, I love this pinky-brown nude and it smells amazing.
That rounds out my favorite nudes. If you have some that I haven’t tried definitely let me know – I love adding to my collection.
See you tomorrow.
